Museums
Museums are building or institutions that collect and care for items of artistic, scientific, or historical importance and make them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.
You'll generally find large museums located in major cities and towns. Some of the museums nowadays offer programs and activities for a range of audience, including adults, children and families. These programs mainly consists of lectures or tutorials by the museum faculty or field experts.
In simple words, museums are meant for the purpose of knowledge, pleasure and awareness. This permanent institution serve the society, by acquiring, conserving and exhibiting the tangible and intangible heritage of humanity and its environment, for the purpose of education and enjoyment.
At present various associations like the International Council of Museum and the Museums Associations have further promoted these advancements. These organizations are responsible for improving the overall management of museums through training, information dissemination, conferences and so on.
