The term 'music' has long been a debatable topic, various scientists and scholars have argued about what exactly constitutes music. In simple words, the definition varies through history, in different regions, and within societies. Thomas Clifton, in his book 'Music as Heard' defines music as "music is the actualization of the possibility of any sound whatever to present to some human being a meaning which he experiences with his body-that is to say, with his mind, his feelings, his senses, his will, and his metabolism"
It ranges from organized composition through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can further be classified into genres and subgenres. However, music is defined as a performing art, a fine art and auditory art under the art and entertainment heading.
