Art encompasses a diverse range of human activities, be it creation and mode of expression. It can be best understood through the definition given in Britannica online, as "the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments or experiences that can be shared with others." Some popular types of accepted artistic expressions include drawing, cinematography, architecture, music, dance, erotic art, writing, painting, sculpture, poetry and photography. Apart from these, there are also valid types of art forms.

On the other hand, entertainment can be defined as an activity that gives people pleasure and relaxation. Both arts and entertainment are related terms. In other words, different forms of art can entertain people, thus they are inter-related. They are a source of great pleasure in life. Those who are actively involved in creating art, be it music or poetry, for them it is a way to give the world something. Even for those who are not involved in creating art, they feel utmost happiness by discussing it with others and seeking out art and enjoy it. And this is what we can call entertainment or being entertained by art. People can indulge in entertainment with art forms like watching a movie or opera.
