Law
In the words of the great Greek philosopher, Aristotle "the rule of law is better than the rule of any individual". The above statement is very much true as the rule of any individual is not capable of establishing obedience and discipline in human society. Such a law cannot be effective to control the increasing number of terrorists, hooligans, separatists and other criminals.
The term 'law' generally refers to a set or structure of rules that shape politics, economics and society in various ways. It acts as a primary mediator in relations between people. The law has many forms such as contract law, property law; trust law and tort law, criminal law, administrative law and international law.
The contract law deals with everything in the arena of business or trade right from buying a bus ticket to trading in derivative markets. On the other hand, property law speaks about rights and obligations, which are related to the transfer and title of real property such as land, land improvement including buildings and machinery. Talking about trust law, it is associated with assets held for investment and financial security, while tort law allows claims in case rights or property are harmed.
Criminal law is meant to prosecute perpetrators in the state. Finally administrative law is meant for reviewing the decisions and policies of government agencies, while international law governs the affairs between various nations. Hence, there are various categories and sub-categories of law, more information on which can be obtained from various websites and books.
