Business
The term business is used to define a type of activity or an establishment that is engaged in providing services to others who want or need them. In other words, it is any activity that involves exchange for profits. And this exchange is performed by buying and selling. However, it can also be the commercial exchange such as barter. Business may exist in all kind of fields, such as non-profit organizations, government agencies, educational settings, transportation, manufacturing and more.
Business also includes the activities of professionals such as doctors, lawyers, consultants and brokers, but such activities are categorised as professional pursuits, rather than business activities. The most appropriate definition of business is an establishment engaged primarily in business for monetary profits.
Business networking is a related term to business. Business networking is a skill and a low cost method of marketing used to build new business contacts through connecting with other like minded individuals. Such a networking is done through corporate meetings or face to face meetings commonly at business or community events. There are also business networking events, basically hosted by business networking groups or organizations. Such events can be on a local or national level.
