Industrial Tools
Tools are an integral part of industries. There are various types of tools used in an industrial set-up. Every industry needs certain types of tools to perform their various functions. A machine tool is a powered machine used for cutting or shaping or finishing metals or other materials. A power machine can be a broach, gear shaper, drill, hobbing machine, lathe, milling machine, shaper and grinder.
Power machines or tools use a power source to perform. However, there are also some tools that are considered machine tools that are operated by hand. Power machines eliminate the use of human effort from the process of accomplishing various tasks.
Machine tools can be powered by a number of sources. Apart from human and animal power, the energy for these tools can be derived from waterwheels, steam engines and electricity. Machine tools can be operated both manually or automatically controlled. The modern world is largely dependent on machine tools. Could you imagine your life without these tools? To be very precise, many of the things that we are able to do or make today would be either too difficult, too costly or simply impossible to make!
