A 'car' is one of the most important things in life both for men and women. This is not just a means of transportation for individuals but it is also a social status for people. A person having a car is held in high esteem especially in Asian countries. People in Asian countries mostly use low and average priced cars. This is why most of the automobile companies are launching low-priced cars in India and other neighboring countries.
A car is basically a wheeled vehicle used for carrying passengers from one place to another place. The number of passenger cars is increasing day by day. It is estimated that in the year 2007, there were 806 million passenger cars and light trucks on the road, which consumed almost 260 billion gallons of gasoline and diesel annually. The first car was the steam-powered car. It was built in China around the year 1672 as a toy for the Chinese emperor. Later on, automobiles were made in different countries in various sizes and shapes. Today the automobile industry is one of the biggest industries that can boast thousands of new car models of varied sizes and shapes.
When it comes to buying cars, people have different choices. Some opt for luxury cars, as they believe it brings them high social status. They love to flaunt their cars to their near and dear ones and other people. On the other hand, some others with a low budget mostly buy low-priced cars. Hence there are different categories of car buyers in the market.
